About Dulak Designs

Dulak Designs is the creative outlet of Martin Dulak, a passionate woodworker and artist dedicated to crafting meaningful, high-quality pieces. My greatest joy comes from the exploration of materials—the journey of learning, experimenting, and discovering new techniques keeps my passion alive. Woodworking isn’t just about shaping materials; it’s about understanding them, pushing their limits, and uncovering the hidden beauty within every piece.

I have a deep appreciation for exotic hardwoods and the striking aesthetics of figured woods—the mesmerizing swirls of burl, the depth of curly maple, the wild patterns of zebrawood. Each species tells its own story, and I love highlighting those natural characteristics in my work. Whether I’m crafting a live-edge tabletop, a custom heirloom piece, or a one-of-a-kind accessory, my goal is always to let the wood’s natural beauty shine while creating something both functional and artistic.

My Philosophy

I approach woodworking with a mix of traditional techniques and modern craftsmanship, always respecting the materials and allowing the wood to speak for itself. I work primarily with exotic and domestic hardwoods, choosing each piece carefully for its unique grain patterns and natural beauty.

For me, woodworking is about patience, precision, and purpose—every project is an opportunity to create something lasting and personal. Whether it’s a commissioned dining table with hidden compartments for board games or a simple handmade gift, my goal is always the same: to craft something that resonates with the person who receives it.

Where To Find My Work

My pieces can be found at The Groovy Collective, a vintage boutique in Flemington, NJ, and at local craft fairs where I showcase an expanding variety of hardwood creations. I also take on custom commissions, working one-on-one with clients to bring their ideas to life.

If you appreciate the artistry of handcrafted woodwork and are looking for a one-of-a-kind piece, I’d love to create something for you.
